My Toddler Amazed Me At Dinner Tonight: A Short Story

I cook meatball with bolognese sauce for tonight’s dinner only for my husband and me. I let the macaroni schotel leftover from lunch to be eaten by my son. I put the small plate with the macaroni schotel on the sofa so my son could easily reach and eat it. I put two plates with rice and meatball bolognese (let me call it by that name) and started to sit on my chair. My husband also sat on his chair.

A few seconds later, my son dragged his little chair to in between my husband and me and brought his plate then put it on the dining table. Yes, he wanted to eat his night meal together, with his parents. Due to the insufficient height of my son’s chair, my husband let my son sat on his chair while my husband took another chair. I’m just surprised by my son’s action tonight. I never know that a 22 months old boy has such a willingness to gather with his parents at dinner.

Breast Engorgement in the Midst of Pandemic: Three Days Needed to Fully Recover with No Breastpump

I could say that yesterday was the day I finally recovered from an unexpected yet surprising breast engorgement. Why it’s surprising? Simply because breast engorgement is a thing that I never experienced after my son was four months old. He is 16 months old now which means it was about a year ago I experienced my last breast engorgement (before a few days ago). I don’t know the exact cause of the ‘late breast engorgement’ but according to Sioned Hilton on medela.com, breast engorgement could be caused by the decreasing intensity of nursing due to starting solid foods.
